SR20 swap in California?

Are there any good SR20 swap shops in California? I'm wondering how much I can get this done for? I found a shell 240sx for $700, anybody know how much it is going to cost to get this swap done?

No its a 92 shell. Although it has a blown motor... so I'm thinking of turboing the Ka24.... It'll be cheaper and I can have some money for better suspension.....

speaking of swaps and SRs and all that other madness. I've got a shell too with a blown motor. Living in Sac, anyone around here who can give me help on my little project.

Ohhh, anyone buy a motor through venus motors? Just curious, and how much they paid?

1000-1500, where the hell do they do it for that amount!?! I seriously need to shop around. Ohhh, anyone who has an SR and lives in california, PM me please or hit my AIM, kidimportR. I really have a lot of questions for you folks.

i'm planning to get my motor from venus too and they told me it was 2200 for a full front clip (maybe missing the radiator and the intercooler)? Maybe we can get a groupbuy from them or something if enough norcal people are interested.

I don't think they do group buys, but it's always worth asking. 2200 for a front clip... with how many miles? And is it at your pick up? SCC got this front clip for 1300, don't know if they're talking out of their *** or if they got a hook up through them, but I thought that was amazingly cheap.

I wanna get a red top SR. I'd go for a black top, but they seem a little bit too pricey for me, also, since you can tinker with the motor to get that much out of it. Well, anyone know any good shops though that don't have long waiting lists like motorsport dynamics here in sac?

Well, either way, people who have the SR swap in california, hit me up, I really desperately need your help. Thanks

hey niz, my friend got his clip from venus mtorsports and it runs cool, a little boost leak, because he's running the stock downpipe that came with it (it's all beat up and dented in) that's all....so hopefully if he gets his exhaust system in, it'll run cool. good luck

Thanks, but my big problem is being able to drive my car legally on the roads of communist california.

I think I might get my motor at venus since it's in my city. Only thing I've got a question about is how much did he pay for it?

been lookin for a 91-93 coupe

Whered u guys find 240 coupe shells?! Thas seriously the best thing for tuners like us! I check www.Craigslist.org a lot, almos daily recently... if u dont kno, its a free classifieds thing [tihnk its bigger in NorCal Bay Area, but i couldbe wrong]... Best thing i found was a 89 coupe for 650, but sumone bought it. I heard the 91-93 coupes are easier to work on/swap too.

SO... let me know where u found cheap coupes! NIIiiice, u got a 92 for 700?!

O yeh, if ur in NorCal, i kno a place called BlackTrax in Milpitas area. They are kinda sponsors of a bay area forum im in too. They do good engine swap/head/turbo work... www.blacktrax.net

thanks for spreading the word, my friend works at blacktrax and they do customized fmic's too, but the piping for the fmic will be black (i'm thinking that's their trademark). but yeah, craigslist.com is a must for anyone in the bayarea.
