motegi touge???fitment and looks

ok how do you guys think a motegi touge in anthracite 18x9 in 40mm offset look. The guy at tirerack said i wouldnt have to roll my fenders.Think its gonna stick out and look gay?

Ayuaddict May 17, 2007 01:22 PM

not only is it going to be sunk in and look gay, its going to hit your struts.

Helghast May 17, 2007 01:30 PM

+40mm is no bueno man.

RuizXIII May 17, 2007 01:33 PM

what Marc and Yuta are trying to say is, don't do it man.
It will look like total **** and that offset is pretty horrible.

silentvoice19 May 17, 2007 01:58 PM

really that dooche nozzle told me that 40mm was perfect with no problems hmm ok hows 35mm rear and 29mm from

MS!3 May 17, 2007 04:02 PM

those are fwd offsets. those wont clear the struts. you need something <=20. and a better wheel, not motegi.

zenkislider May 17, 2007 04:24 PM

lol dont those weigh like damn 22 pounds or sumthing?

theres nothing "fwd" about high offsets. most exotic/race cars use high offset wheels because of more compact steering and suspension setups. but, in this case you will require a +25 offset or lower in order to clear coilovers.

ok the only wheels that i like are motegi touges and gram lights and the grams are out of my price range right now. I dont wanna do a 5 lug.ok then find me something in the 17x9 range lightweight and decent looking i really cant find that much in 4x114.

MS!3 May 17, 2007 04:38 PM

no ****, but they belong on a fwd, lol. we dont drive exotics anyways, or race cars for that matter. back on topic, to the OP if you want a decent lookin car dont get those wheels.

thats a perfect reason you go 5 lug.....pay to play the game.

Ayuaddict May 17, 2007 04:45 PM

FDs and S2000's require SUPER high offsets. but thats not the point.

there really are no decent wheels for 4 lug readily available in the US.

save up a bit more do a 5lug conversion and get your gramlights. the new 57 optimise and 57 maximum look fresh as ****.

...or at least thats what i would do in your situation.

silentvoice19 May 18, 2007 09:52 AM

how hard is this 5 lug?

MS!3 May 18, 2007 09:55 AM

well im sure the steel is pretty hard, you know hard enough to not break when the wheel is on......

sarcasm, yea. search

silentvoice19 May 18, 2007 09:56 AM

well im talkin difficulty also what other nissan cars have 5 lug hubs that i can use.The local junk yard has alot of nissan cars like 300zxs and other but no 240s lol go figure.
