Will 225 50 r17 fit on 17x7 rim?
I have a buddy thats giving me a free set of 225/50/r17 Potenzas, will they fit on 17x7 rim? If not whats the widest I could mount on them. Right now I have really low/small 204/40's.

50 sidewall is really thick on a 17. i would do 225/40 max

225 is too wide. 225 is MM which converts to 8.8 inches you want a 195 or 205 40or35R 17

A 225 will fit on a 7. It will just have a slight buldge. Typical for people running a 7(not on 240s) would be a 205-215. A 225/50 seems a bit tall for a 17x7
