62.5i in the doors of a 96

Hey, I really want to get infinity 62.5i's for my fronts, but according to crutchfield.com they wont fit. However crutchfield also said that 63.5i's wouoldnt fit in my brothers accord and he managed to make 'em fit. I was hoping someone can offer some advice on what to look at to determine if I will be able to fit them, because Im pretty much clueless when it comes to speakers.

Thanks in advance

they might not fit just out of the box... this is for the s13 but will be close for the s14 as well... the same kind of mod can work if you take your time and check everything...not to mention he is using the infinity 605cs 6.5" Component Speaker system... not the same model but it can work just takes time...605cs 6.5" Component Speaker system

hey, the 63.5 is the three way, right? I think i have the 63.5, which also seems pretty shallow. i had no problem putting it in, didn't have to cut anything.

but ... it fits !

if the diameter of the speaker is 6.25/6.5" then it'll fit. The front doors of an S14 have a plastic "tub" where the speaker bolts to, and there's ample room for 3-ways

Well, I have decided to save up a little extra cash, and buy some polk db6750's. I just installed an alpine cda-9847, and man was that well worth the money.
