ok i am a :::self proclaimed car Audio NUT!::: so i would be more then happy to help!
tell me what the sub model is and i will do my best to match you up with a box and amp for a good price off the internet that will make your sub play to its fullest potential.
and if you want i can suggest a deck(cdplayer), front, and rear speakers and an amp for those if you so choose. most people are happy with just running the front and rear speakers off the deck.

well what RF sub is it? He, He2, Hx2, Power Hx2?
And i would hope that u do have an aftermarket radio with sub pre outs to control the volume/freq.
As for after market speakers, they'll do a hell of a lot better than thae stocks since now u are seperating the highs from ur mids in one speaker unlike the stocks which try to put all of them in one (hence distortion at high volume). Basically it comes down to u get what u paid for.

4 sumthin as in $400 sumthing?
i wouldnt waste the cash.
they are entry level Rf subs and can be had for less the $110 for a pair. an amp and a box for them for about the same. so you could do better and get new stuff.
the sub you have now should get ALOT louder then the punch-z.
as for an amp for your hx2 go to ikesound.com and look for the JBL 600.1 amp for $189. it'll give your sub a lil over 600wrms and trust me your sub can handle it. now you could look for it possibly cheaper off e-bay but then you have to worrie about it not working and what not.
now for a box for it. you would be best off making a ported box yourself to get the most out put. for a ported box your gonna need to get some inline subsonic filter of some kind and i cant remember the site right this second but as soon i as do i'll let you know.
as for the best ported box i can come up with that will go very low and get nicely loud go for 3cuft tuned to 32hz.
i hope that helps if you need anything else just ask

i remembered the site for cheap subsonic filters. thezeb.com harrison labs f-mods #900073 $28.99 for the pair.

dounveeme, nothing to do with the original post but since it's pretty much the same question, thought i'd butt in.
I have 2 12" round solobarics, 4ohms each, in a sealed box. I have 800@2 rockford chrome series amp. It's not as loud as I think it should be, and it seems like the amp is not pushing it enough. What do you think?
