articles on stereo compnents and how they work?

im am the newbiest of newbs when it comes to car stereos and everything that has to do with them. my question is, where can i learn about all the parts of a stereo and how the parts work, like the amps and stuff? i search on google but all i find is websties on how to install stuff. i am gettin a trial issue of the car and audio or whatever magazine it is to see if it will teach me anything and if it does i will subscribe. but for now if you know any articles i will greatly appreciate it.

There is a book called "Auto Audio" by Andrew Yoder that may be helpful to you. It may not get into as much detail that you like, but you will definintely learn a lot about car stereo systems by reading it.
