head unit trouble

3 months ago, I had a alpine head unit installed in my car

I sold it to a friend.

His stock head unit worked, but when he installed that alpine it didn't work even with a harness

I bought a new pioneer head unit, I told him that since he couldnt get it to work I would sell him the new one i just got

We tried installing that in his car and it wouldnt work either, both of the head units worked until the day I pulled them

After that we took the old alpine that worked in my crx and tried installing it into the 240. It wouldnt work. we took the exact same pioneer that was in my car working 5 minutes ago and put it back into my car and now it won't work, can anyone please try to tell us what in the hell is going on with our audio troubles

thanks

Could be that his car blew the fuse on the radios, I would check that first. I would double check his wires with a meter to make sure that you're getting constant 12v and acc.

use a voltmeter and check your 12v wires and make sure you have a good ground. If the antenna is not hooked up, you may not be grounded. I know when i hooked up my stereo, the ground wire in the aftermarket harness went nowhere, and wouldnt come on until i plugged the antenna in.
