Question Hot Hot Heat

ever since i put in the new deck (ok well i didnt really drive much with the old one), ive noticed that it gets VERY hot very fast. sometimes the area around does, too. even like by the e-brake. any ideas whats causing this, and what i can do to fix it? is it even a problem? it worries me though =\. thanks

I wonder why by the e-brake would get hot. The only think under the e-brake is you exhaust and that could be making it get that hot. THe only reason I can see it getting that hot is you might have an exhaust leak somewhere or that you might need to ground your radio better. That should be about it. E-brake area has nothing to do with the radio.

I had 2 MKIII Supras and a MKII Supra (BTW Supras are actually my favorite car not a 240 But way too expensive to maintain) and I never had such a problem. Something has to be wrong somewhere.

the ebrake itself doesnt get hot, like around that area...the ashtrya a bit too. maybe its cause the radio is grounded to the bolt/scew there.

That could be it. I would try to ground it somewhere else. ALso it could be the light that is always on overthere that can cause it at night too in that area. But it is usually a bad ground when it gets that hot.
