okay man, im gonna give you this advise but dont take it offensively or nothing,

but dont go out and spend your money on junk. Crunch subs, SUCK, power acoustics is a respectable name as well as alpine, my advise to you would be buy a nice alpine cd deck, listen to your stock speakers for awile and save for a nice system, cause if you buy junk, all it is gonna do cause you problems in the long run. So my advise to you would be save all your pennies and buy some nice MBQuart Interior Speakers, 1 12" MB Quart Sub, and a nice 6 channel Phoenix Gold Amp. This is what i use to have in the civic before i got rid of the system a year ago. I LOVED IT. and i plan on getting the same for the 240. I could boom almost any system, my one 12 was louder than 2 crappy 12's. You DEFENTLY get what you pay for in the audio world, trust me i have gone through some pretty ****ty systems and i have seen friends as well...

well you dont have to go with MB Quart, but you can also get some high end names, JL Interior speakers and subs are good, alpine, Kicker, etc, etc. But stay away from the low end crap. I got my whole setup for 3G's, but that was with all that, Alpine 6.5" TV and a custom install....look for good prices as well as respectable names

Well as I said in AIM i'm not a fan of Pioneer speaker and amp equipment. THere head units are good, no doubt though.

Alpine Decent CD/MP3=350
Interiors (JL/Boston/MB Quart)=200+
Subs (JL W7=700/Kicker Solobaric L7=350/400)
Amps (Alpine Mono=400/JL 500W AMp=500)

So right there you roughly looking at over 1200 minimum.
That without all the other stuff power wires, good rca's, blah blah blah. U really do get what you pay for and jsut get a good deck for now man and an alarm

I would be patient and install an alarm.

2 reasons:

You are going to be away on vacation for a while and will not be here to enjoy your system. Use the time to save some money.

You need an alarm. Your car was jacked once already. You are a target. They got in once and can get in again. There is no need to install something to only get it stolen again.

I say this. Get a nice MP3 head unit with removable face. A small mono amp and a woofer you can remove with ease.

I don’t want you to get hurt again. You can always just get the parts and we can help you install it all.
