mounting stuff

I'm installing a security system and am having trouble deciding where to mount the brain and shock sensors. if anyone has a system installed i would appreciate it if you could tell me where the sensors and brain were mounted if you know. Thanks

I installed the brain of my alarm on the firewall.

Yes - behind the dash, deep in there where you can't get to it without pulling the whole dash out. Try disabling that compared to the easy harness pull from under the steering column (sorry s13240, lol)

Shock senor in turn was mounted high up near the base of the windshield on either end of the car (I have 2).
