I just installed an Alpine cdm-7874 into my 89 hatch. I am not getting any audio! I think the amp in the HU may be bad but im not sure. Has anyone ever had this kind of problem. Oh by the way everything else seems to be working fine. When i play a cd you can see that its working but no sound same with stereo! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Check that all the wires are connected properly, or take the amp back and ask for a new one, if not then its the wiring for sure.

 

I think it is the amp in my head unit. I disconnected all of the audio leads and put each pair to a test speaker one at a time and none worked so im pretty sure that is the problem. But if anyone else has any ideas let me know
