no rear speakers what should I put in there

My car came with no rear speakers. So I need to find some speakers for the car. So what fits in those slots in the back that can take 300watts? No such thing? Anyhting close to that. Where can I look for speakers like that. I am not looking for bass just load clarity. I have looked in Crutchfeild and a few other mags but found nothing.

Thanks

Are you looking for subs or speakers?

I don't know of any speakers that will survive with 300 watts being pumped through them. I suppose you already know the sizes that can fit in the rear locations?

stock sizes are 4X6 in the rear, if you didn't bother to search. With hatchbacks, you can't really fit much else in that tiny space, you'd have to stick with those from what I hear, or get some 6X9's and put them in boxes like I did.

Yeah I want somthing to fit in those stock spots. I see subs in 6X9 that can handle the power but nothing that will fit in the stock slots. Would it be possible to modify those slots for a 6X9 with little effort? I am talking about a peak of 300 watts. I don't really want to put a box in there. To much extra effort. I save effort for my faster nissan. This is my daily driver. What are the stock speaker rated for? I don't have them so if I can't find some powerfull ones I can at least find some stocks to put in there.

I doubt there's anything in 4x6 that can handle in the 300w range

4X6's pretty much suck, thats the bottom line. You MIGHT be able to modify it to fit 5.25" but not 6X9's in the tiny space, there is metal, not the plastic frame in the front doors. 300 watts for a set of rear speakers is too much anyways, won't even use that.
Looks on some audio forums and you will get full reviews, thats your best advice.

Sounds like good advise. Cheaper is better. That anwsers my question about wether the speaker exist though.

I have the Crutchfeild mag and I understand the specs. I guess I 'll check them online and see.

Thanks all

My reference says:

S13 coupe - FR 4x6", RR 6.75"
S13 Hatch - FR & RR 4x6"

and since we're on the subject

S14 coupe - FR & RR 6.75"

Well thats the plan for my car to put some 6x9 in the rear and 6.5 in the front but the only thing i got to do is cut that sheet metal so i can fit them in there. hopefully when i get enough money for my fosgate speakers then i will do that. I would have had them already but clutch went out so had to do that first
