the sound quality is higher than other pioneer units, but so is the price, and you probably couldnt hear the difference if you wanted to.- just bling factor is all.

What unit do you have? I noticed that there are variations...480,580,680. More bells and whistles no doubt as the number goes up.

i would have to say that pioneer head units are the best products i've used. I've had alpine, and you get more for your money your better off with a pioneer, you get moe options, and controllabilty

I've always used Pioneer / Premier head units also, very good, very reliable. I've tried Kenwood, Alpine, Blaupunkt... but always went back to Pioneer.

i almost bought a premier deck for my GF after using it at the store, much better than all the other brands. Also it puts out the most wattage (rms) if you dont want to get into wiring up an amp. they also come with some extra warranty or so the salesman told me. If i had to buy a new stereo i would definetly buy the premier deck.

the only thing i see as being nicer than the premier units are Eclipse units- but they are EXPENSIVE.

My stock speakers probably don't work so I need to replace them as well. What kind of speakers are you guys running? I don't want anything ultra fancy with bass you can hear coming down the street. Just something nice to listen to...from inside the car!
