it seems WAY WAY WAY overpriced

but pioneer is a good name brand, it should be hard to go wrong if you get a quality one...but in my opinion this is WAY over priced

What is way overpriced?I've had a few Pioneer heads. The high end models are very nice. They eliminate the need for external croosovers for the most part, unless your gonna compete in SQl.

i got the alpine 7878 mp3 player, it was like 600 off ebay brand new, i think they retail for 900, its a sweet head unit

if your gonna get a new head unit, it would be stupid not to get an mp3 reciever

I run a pioneer in my Toyota. It is an older model, but is damn good. You can find the older models in the pawn shops for about a hundred bucks. It plays all burnt disk from mp3's.

I run it to an MTX 2100 amp to two MTX Thunder 6000, 12's. It thumps enough for me. Matter of fact I lost the hearing in my right ear for about four months. But I can hear pretty good now.
