Ok, post up your CA.

I know there have got to be a few CA guys on this site so post em up.

My ride is a 1992 Nissan 240sx coupe base model with CA18DET swap. Mods on the motor include:

Power:
T3 Super 60 with .46 exhaust
equal length top mount manifold
Tial wastegate
SSQV BOV
custom 3in exhaust
custom hard pipe for intake
PWR barrel style liquid intercooler
Mustang Cobra C&R heat exchanger
Koyo Radiator, 180 deg thermostat
ARP headstuds
sr20det 9lb flywheel and exedy clutch
1986 Nissan 200sx moodless starter
Greddy catch can
Taking it to the dyno in a few weeks once I megasquirt it. Aiming for 300whp.

I am intriqued by your motor. There are virtually no CA's where I live, let alone s12's to donate a sohc motor. How was the swap process? I noticed that the motor has a distributer so did you keep the stock ignitor from the KA and that was it or did you have to do some rewiring.

You have a ton of space there for a liquid intercooler or you could get crazy with a top mount intercooler on that thing and keep your ic piping rediculously short. Regardless, nice work and that car will be truely unique.

Haha, you have it backwards. I'm actually in the process of removing this from my s12 and dropping in a KA-DE. It's a janky motor, not to mention that it has two spark plugs per cylinder. Wish me luck

Lol, it being janky is probably why I have never seen one in a 240 but I always like to see different things. What made you decide to put it in there anyway?

Oops, like I said there are virtually no s12's in my area and glancing at the image of the engine bay from above I think it is pretty safe to say that the engine bay looks damn near identical to the 240sx. Of course now I had to go back and really look at the picture and I do notice that the water reservoir looks a little different and the brake lines don't pass near the top of the firewall.

Smile Where all the CA owners at?!!!

Fellow CA owners I greet you lol

How many we got and where are we?!
Whats up with our cars and whats up with our engine builds?!

I'm located in Las Vegas Nevada
My CA is still being swapped in so I'm lame but here goes.

-My ride is a 1985 Nissan 200sx Hatch aka S12 (RPS12)
---engine
-JDM spec CA18DET (duh) Internally Stock
-CA16DE intake cam. Just sourced a CA18DET exhaust cam for the intake side. Will install at my 500mi head retorque.
-Euro T25G
-XS power exhaust mani, o2 pipe, downpipe
-DIY 3" short charge pipe with 1G DSM BOV. Yes thats correct. NON-INTERCOOLED. Water/Meth/WW Injection!! But not yet. So no running over 10psi til I can get that setup in.
-Maxima electric rad fans relayed and switched on with a MK1.5/MK2 S12 AC fan thermoswitch.
---drivetrain
-Fidanza 9.5lb aluminum flywheel for SR20DET (actually weighed in at 9lbs and did not have to grind the inside of the bellhousing. Dont know why but who cares right)
-Ebay 6-puck unsprung clutch for SR20DET
-S12 Turbo gear reduction starter (needed for sr20det flywheel)
-"Earl's" braided SS front brake line for 280zx used for clutch line into slave cylinder/clutch dampener delete. IIRC I got it from theZstore.com. I just emailed them bout it and took care of the whole thing through emails. Cheap and easy.
-Ebay "C's" style short shifter for 240sx (simple install and shift motions feel awesome.)
-Custom 1 peice driveshaft
-DIY welded diff (R180 with 4.10 gears original to the car)
---tuning and gauges
-2x 2" Equuis gauges set into dash right under cluster. Boost and lame-o A/F.
-Old school APEX-I AFC. 1 **** and a bunch of LEDs
---chassis and suspension
Stripped to the bone. Stock suspension for now. Planning S13 front conversion. Q45/J30 brakes up front and Z31 turbo vented rears are planned also.

Post 'em up! I know theres got to be more CA enthusiasts on here.

its a fuel injected turbo motor lol its not that old hahah

im well aware the the CA was a development motor that eventualy sprung off the modern RB series motors.

i was going to get a CA before i did my KA-T
