Exclamation I'm running 9s

That's right 9 second time slips. 4 of 'em.

1/8th mile that is.

60' 2.24xxx
1/8 mile 9.42..

240sx stock boost sr
3" exhaust
4.36 rear end gears
****ty tires.

Happy with the run since this isn't a drag car or anything. I'd like to eventually have a low 13 second car, but it's not a priority.

It was fun getting out there and just running.

Bumnah.

lol, thats not too bad. I ran a 9.92@70.73mph in with my ka with just an intake and an 2.5 inch exhaust.

Did you spin all that much? Tires really help. Sr would definately own a Ka in the 1/4.

yeah i wasn't hooking worth a damn. i pretty much walked it out of the box when i ran the 9.4. i had the rms around 2100 or so. i'm happy with the run.

i'll go back after i get my tires. maybe i'll lower my tire pressure and stuff to help, but i doubt it.

Are you running an open diff? I remember the first time i ran my car. I was nervous as hell and just dumped the clutch at alike 3200 rpm in stead of launching correctly. I ended up not really going anywhere but smoked the hell out of my tires. I guess i thought my tires would hook a little better.

so. i went back today.

9.1xxx in the 1/8th this time
60' was 2.14xxx

pretty happy with the run. the only difference between this run and my original post were my tires. i have falken azenis 225/50/16 in the rear. i had 35 psi in the rear tires.

do you think lower 60 foot times are possible with my simple setup? what 60 foot times do 240s put down typically? i'm guessing 9.1 is pretty much 95% of what she's got. the run was pretty solid i bogged it a little. a little cleaner launch maybe a 9.0 flat, pushing a high 8 if i'm on the $$$

Do you like those tires? I am looking at getting some for my E30 more for Auto-x and redline challenge. Are they really grippy and handle well?
