Information:
Elite Car Audio and Performance 2009 Elite Summer Nationals Drift competition will be hosted by DGTrials. The competition will be a tandem drift event, so participants expecting to make it past the top-16 round are expected to have appropriate safety equipment as denoted in DGTrials' GCR.

Competition Format
This will be a standard-format drift competition. A single round of single-car qualifying will determine the Top-16.
Standard bracketed tandem competition will continue from Top-16 to Final Four. Winners of the Final Four will face each other to determine 1st and 2nd place. Losers of the Final Four will face each other to determine 3rd and 4th place.

Prizes
1st - $250
2nd - $150
3rd - $75
4th - $50

Other prizes TBD.

If I get enough tires to go, LOL, I don't think I'll be able to get a caged car in time . . .which means no tandem, *sigh*

With the predicted turn out, what's the likelihood that us non-caged guys will get a chance at competing?

It really depends on how many drivers with the right equipment who don't look like they're going to wreck show up. We want to make sure that drivers get enough practice and that the competition is long enough, and good for the fans. If that means no tandem competition, so be it.

While we'd love to be able to do a full tandem top-16, that is probably not going to happen due to time constraints.
