Initiating drift.....
I would like to improve on a technique I feel I was really hurting on at hyperfest.
I was able to kick the car out but unable to create excessive wheel spin.
Should I have clutch kicked?

yes,
did you try feathering the gas? i dunno should keep the wheels breaking loose.
i usually end up doing power overs in low speed drifts.
but i am not pro have never had any training, so it's just my .005 cents

well seeing how you have a na monster you should clutch kick over and over just like a hachi.
maybe start with e-brake then pop the clutch then clutch kick ,clutch kick, clutch kick, clutch kick, etc.....
works with hachi's....

you got to remember to downshift and power on ...but enough to slide...then feather..and clutch kick.
sometimes i would just run outta momentum..then i got nice at downshifting and pullin the slide out harder.
then i would have to use a bunch of diffrent techniques in one drift..
and spin out

Your problem with the spinning out is the inside tire spinning free and the outside running along like a slug. It happened to me all the time with the open diff.
