A Quick Test Run! Just toying around. . .

I took the car out and just did a couple of quick test with the newly light-weight Bullitt. It's true, a heavier Bullitt will travel further when projected but a lightweight one is definitely more maneuverable! I'm very excited about this rapid weight loss plan and hope to continue on! Next up, as mentioned, is the carbon bits, relocated battery (hopefully a smaller one) and lighter weight suspension/chassis parts. To round it all out, I'll go through and replace all iron/steel bolts, screws and nuts with a their lighter weight counterparts. The reduction is estimated between 200 and 300 pounds depending on how crazy you get!

Here's a quick video of the test run in question, Nothing special:

Wow, that bites dude, sorry man. I can't wait for ya to get back though, I know that bug is gonna itch ya, when you get back it's gonna be CRAZY and I can't wait to see the videos!

Sidebar, about the gutting, I now have a LOT more vibration in and throughout the chassis/body of the car. Something about having the exhaust FLOOD the car with noise is just ridiculous.

Sidebar part 2, The car is significantly lighter though in the sense of, I can feel it dramatically. Usually, with a larger or smaller passenger, I can sort of feel them there, but usually the weight and suppleness of the car balances it out. However, I've pulled all of that stuff out, and I can absolutely feel the difference. I can toss the car more, the chassis responds a lot better to input and to catching the slide. It's almost like driving an actual sports car, LOL! I can't wait to get this on the track on the 14th.

WEWT!

Oh, not at all . . .I mean, the daily driveability aspect has been altered significantly over stock, but this car will be a street legal track-ONLY drifter. I pick up my daily driver tomorrow. This car will serve as my heart, soul and identity with my sponsors, my fans, my family and friends when I hit the track and will let all other drifters know that I'm there representing 2009 and beyond with the fullest.

I'm extremely excited to start the 2009 season off and cannot wait for the first event to kick off. This is a very fun car to drive and hopefully bringing the weight down will prove to be a good idea not only in theory but in execution.

Yeah dude, I'm BEYOND psyched! I've got a new sponsor, working on more, seeing what becomes of what.

I've got some cars in mind, we'll see what I wind up getting though. I think Battosaii and Biggamehit are the only two that know what I'm getting. I don't want to make an announcement then have it fall through and look like a bag of douche.
