Where to Drift.com

taken from JR's myspace bulletin post
-------------------

I am very excited to announce the Launch of http://www.wheretodrift.com

Due to the fact that finding local drift events has only been easy to those that are involved in forums and "in the scene". This site was built was to offer a one stop place for ANYONE to get information, dates and locations of all drifting events in the USA easily searchable by state. Any and all event organizers will be given an account so that they can post there events online. This once again is simply to help grow our sport by allowing easier access for the average "not in the know" car enthusiast to come and have some fun drifting and hopefully it will help grow local events and this amazing sport.

Currently this is only for the USA. We would like to add other countries in the future but we are starting with our country first and hopefully we can team up with some other organizers throughout the world to help out in the near future.

Please do not hesitate to give us feedback and suggestions.

This has been built for everyone that loves drifting, every event holder that has worked hard to run local events so everyone can have a safe place to have fun, and everyone that wants to see the sport grow and local events starting to get bigger, better and funner (yes it’s a word) venues!

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!!!!!!!

If you run a Forum or know anyone that runs a forum.

Please ask them to post this up as a sticky for a while!

If you are an event organizer and want an account please email josh@ziptied.com

All the best!

Vaughn Gittin Jr.

Nice website concept, and good to see JR is involved and helping spread the word. Lets just hope that organizations use it, but so far seems like it is already being taken seriously.

I don't know if it is because the site is new, or because there just aren't that many drift events/ locations around, but I would recommend either a multi-state/ regional search, or maybe just a way to list all the events across the country... and I'm not even sure that anyone on here has the pull to suggest those changes to the site moderator!

I hope they get everybody on board, I know of at least 2 drift organizations in Indiana and Illinois that are not yet on there.

Lol I met him at GT-Live where he was giving ride alongs in his S13. Very cool guy, if a little tipsy by the end of the night lol. Speaking of which in VA US Drift is having a practice on March 29th, and will have its event there again at GT Live in October.
