Putting a 93 Infiniti Q45 engine (VH45) into a 89 240sx....

I have learned that Nissan took interchangability to an extreme...all flywheels ( or ringgear plates on AT) have the EXACT same 8 bolt pattern, and supposedly the 300zx flywheel will give the proper dimensions for the starter to still match up correctly, now...my only question is, does anyone know if the 300zx clutch will fit in the 240sx bellhousing/will it fit the transmission correctly?...any responses of value would be appreciated...

please no flamming...i know i know, go with the sr, go with the ca18 go with the RB...well, thats just not my style....
i'll be making 300hp at the crank ( specs say something like 290, but as many know, nissan under-rated there powerful engines in many circumstances, its truely a 300 hp engine) stock.

SR20- 480
CA18-??
VH45-520, hmm...20 lbs extra weight is worth doubling the stock torque of the KA24 to me!!!

 

sounds like an interesting project. your engine bay would probably look pretty crowded.

from what i gather from your post, you want to use the VH45 with a Z32 flywheel with the KA transmission bellhousing?

sweet project.. you may want tto get a custom bell housing made and do something like a t5 trans... i mean **** your already elbows deep.. or just mate a z32 trans to it

The z32 trans would be just lovely i suppose, do you know if it is an easy swap??
