Basically I am currently looking to do an auto to manual swap on my 95 240sx, I was wondering if anyone in the NY/long island area was interested in making this weekend project, I must confess I have never done anything harder then changing breaks, and I have no place to do the swap, since my car is parked in the street and I don't have acess to a garage or driveway (I lack the tools and knowledge anyway) but if some one has done this before, I would love to watch and learn (and help). I will of course reimburse you for your troube/time.

Failing that, if anyone knows a good shop in the NY long Island area that would do it, and would recommend them that would be nice. Most transmission shops around me are not interested in the work, plus if no one wants to do this for fun I would like to send my car to a shop that has done the conversion before to avoid problems.

And now for the ECU question, I want to also swap to a manual ECU since I don't want my idiot light to constantly be on. I am pretty sure my car is OBDII, and I know for a fact I have ABS. I was wondering if I did use and 96 or above ECU without ABS would I lose my ABS or would it still work? Basically would I have to find another ECU with 95 or above that is OBD II, manual, with ABS? (if anyone just happens to have one let me know)
