Can a LSD from a 2G be installed on a 1990 240SX Se 5 spd?

I need better traction overall. I figure Michilin Pilots all around would help but I feel I need more. I can't drive the car in the snow and sometimes in bad weather (rain, sleet). Current tires are Sumos & have less than 5k on them. Help!

I have no idea. I give it gas and the rear passenger wheels spins.

On HS13's (240sx) 89-93, the differential code is R180. If you want to get an lsd dont buy the "silvia" rear ends because they are viscous. What viscous means is that there is a paste inside the differential that grabs the gears which helps the rear end spin about the same on each side. A good way to get an lsd is to buy a phantom grip. What this does is lock the spider gears together and create a limited slip action that is like a clutch type lsd....basically its good. Oh yeah, the phantom grip is installed in the R180

PhantomS13k???? That must mean he's good.....i wish.

Oh. I heard it was a paste. Teach's me to take someones word. I would lke to know some of the horrible things that happened with the phantom grip, because i have one but i didn't install it yet. The instructions that came with the phantom grip said to grind the spider gears flat for best results, im guessing that the people that you speak of who installed one didn't do that, but i want to hear from you.
