Hey, I have a 98 240sx, AUTO I want to do the swap,BUT i cant find any parts anywhere, Trans,pedals,lines ect.

Does anyone know where i could find this stuff?? Or have it for sale? Im in NY...None of the Junk yards even have a 240 in it,so its kinda hard.

Any help would be much apreciated..

oh yeah ..read over to the zilvia forums in the faq..around 2nd page.. someone said its harder work to change a 98,97 to manual

Hey, isnt it also possible to use tranny from other year 240s? Isnt it the same for all KA24DE? That may make it easier for u to find a tranny to swap. Im lookin for one too [for 91 though]...

 

All KA24DE engines have the same tranny i'm told. You can even switch in a 89-90 tranny in a DE s13. Look for any tranny you can. There is someone with 90% of the swap with parts for sale in NY, I think his name on here is "rudeboy"

Howbout the ECU? Is it a separate ECU for auto/manual transmission, or is it the same [main] ECU as the one in the passenger side panel?
I hear people talking about sometimes it works with the auto ECU, sumtimes u get error codes etc...

Basically im tihnkin that the tranny may fit, but the ECU may not work with it if not from the same generation 240?

 

Don't be ridiculous. The swap into a 98 is no harder than a 95 or a 92... I know this... cause I recently did the swap into my 98. I have an extra tranny if anyones interested... but I'm in Texas...so shipping will be alot to the northern states... but if anyone has questions about the swap, hit me up on aim: gmckey09 or email: gmckey@sbcglobal.net
