i got the 90 240 earlier this week, got it in the driveway last night so today was the first i got to really check it out. i jacked up the rear and put it in gear then turned one wheel. the other turned in the oppisit direction. but in neutral olny one wheel spins. there isn't any where i can see that there is a sticker. so now what??? some one get at me so i can sleep easy or go buy one.

 

The only way you can have LSD is if you live in Canada, or have Super HICAS. If you don't have 4 way steering then no LSD.

 

when in gear the LSD will turn both wheels the same direction...if they turn opposite directions, you have an open diff.

Get a CDN rear and you will be straight. I have a link somewhere to a dude that sells them from rotor to rotor.

 

what the blood-clot is a CDN rear end? well if it locks up mine then show me the link! i found an lsd used for $200 will the CDN WORK BETTER?

 

CDN rear end = canadian rear end with axles do to all canadian 240s having limited slip

 

Whoops sorry about that. CDN = Canadian and if you can get the rear end for that price jump on it.

Where is the rear end from? Are you garenteed that it is a VLSD?

stanbo, i dont remember where that lsd i found is at. but when i requested the quote i asked for the lsd diff.

u can put a 300zx rear end in ur 240 it will match right up bc the 300 has lsd

maybe a j30 rear

 

There are many warnings of not using the 300z lsd unless you are making a great deal of power. The gear ratio is different from the 240sx.
