Identifiying A VLSD
I have been considering putting a VLSD on my car and I just realized that I have a SE model. My question is how would you identify a VLSD unit on a car? Can you crawl under there and check on the unit to identify if it's a LSD or not?

Check the differential cover to see if there is an orange sticker on it. It may have fell off but it may still be there. Another way is to do a burnout to see if you leave two tire marks. Or you could do the rear end jack up method.

Yeah, that does get annoying.
Is it true that LSD only came on the S13's with HICAS? I'm looking to yank one from a junkyard hatch that has HICAS.
The four wheel steering requires it yes?!
Yes, I am thread whoring right now but I do want to know the answer to that question.

It's been like 3 minutes since you asked the question, please do not triple post and wait a bit for an answer, which translates into, STOP WHORING, do not make me merge multiple posts again. Now, to answer your question, yes, in the United States, for s13's, VLSD only came in the HICAS equipped models.

Then don't say "Yes, I am thread whoring right now but I do want to know the answer to that question.", which sure does make it seem like you realized it went through. Also, if you get multiple posts, you can always go back and edit your previous ones or delete them, so don't tell me to back off, I'm doing my job and making sure the forum is not cluttered with worthless junk.
