Question mix and match

Just wondering if there would be any issues with using a s15 6 speed tranny on a s13 motor??? Parts needed and fab work??

I'm pretty sure the bolts don't line up, so you will need to fab up a adapter. And a custom driveshaft(unless the S15 or 240 fits, but I doubt it)

what would be the advantage of having a 6-speed tranny build for a diffrent motor? I dont think it would be any good.

I also remember hearing somewhere that the 6spd tranny is a little weaker than the 5spd

Most 6-speed trannies are weaker than their counter-part/5speed clones.

6 speeds tend to be generally weaker than 5 spds, unless if you have a solid built up 6 speed (like the WRX STi 6 speed gearbox).

but i know for sure, that the 6 speed on the S15 is weaker than the S13-14 5 speed, and the same goes for the new miata's with 6 speed.

also,
it should save gas mileage a little bit though if the swap was successful.
