sorry guys im a newbie but i have some questions. I have a 92 240sx hatchback with 165k on both the engine and tranny. today i was riding and when i clutched to 2nd gear i heard a whistling sound and my car wouldn't go into 2nd gear at all! But all of the other gears work fine, does anyone have any suggestions?

 

replace the second gear or just get a new tranny

 

Yup you need a new tranny welcome to Nissan. At least it went out sometime when it's more expected.
