Number of bottles of tranny oil

sup guy could some one tell me the correct number of bottle of gear oil to get for my KA tranny. when i looked up the specs it basically said about 5 quarts is that right

hmm for the tranny I just buy a big bottle and fill it till it spills out.. not sure how much exactly.. 5 sounds right might be less

It's 5.25 Pints, not quarts.

You are referring to a manual transmission, correct?

devnull is right, 5.25 quarts (2.5 liters) for manual. For auto, it's 8.75 quarts 8.3 liters of ATF.

are you trying to confuse them? M/T uses 5.25 pints. AT uses 8.75 quarts.

LOL you're right - freaking pints, quarts, pounds crap. The lower case "p" and the lower case "q" in the scanned FSM looks similar.

M/T Oil - 5.25 liters.
Auto Trans. Fluid - 8.3 liters.
Diff Oil - 1.2-1.4 liters.

If you want pints or quarts, do the math
