Push Start for Automatics

Many of us think that if you got an automatic, and you run out of battery, ur screwed. Well not anymore. aparently 240's transmissions have this thing called "rear pump" and what it does is that it creates preasure from the movement of the driveshaft. this is hard to do on a FWD because the tranny got 2 output shafts, but the 240's have one. So as long as the output shaft is moving fast enough. it will create preasure and make the gears engage.

So the instructions go as follow:

turn on the car in the On position, even if it has not battery, put it on neutral. if it has not battery and won't disengage, there's a red mini-**** in front of the shiftknob, push it down, then push the big button on the shiftknob.

Start pushing, now this goign 2 be hard because you'll have to push the car to 20, or 25mph. Get some freinds.

Then once the car is going fast, then put the shiftknob on L, or low drive. automatic will work too, but the instructions say to put in on L.

I would recomend flooring it while it tires to start, but it should work just fine once the engine turns over fast enough to create power for the injectors and fuelpump to run.

I discovered this by accident. I was going on the highway, and this girl was *****ing me about how I was driving agressively, so I said "fine" and turned off the engine. She went crazy, so I turned on the car ,and before I could start the engine, it turned on itself. More research led to this.

I hope this helps u guys some day, since I'm 20 and never tought an automatic could be push started on all my experience in cars, and prolly no one in the streets knows this either. U can bet ppl into telling then u can push start ur automatic, and make sum $$$.

EDIT: I recently went drivign and figured out it can't really be done. The only way you can push start automatic is to be driving the car, then turn it off in drive. this will cause the tranny to engage agaqin in short burst and it will slow the car down. if you put it on L, it will cause it to engage quickly, and the engine will move, then turn it on and I'll run. If you put it in Neutral it will desengage forever and never engage again no matter if ur goign 456mph.
