stock vlsd fluid

Hey, what do you guys put in your stock VLSD? I searched but i only found what is used the the kaaz 2 way. I just got a zenkse and the guy said that he didn't put the right diff fluid in so i NEED to change it to the right stuff. What is the best weight all around to use in there? Thanks guys...

i used the lucas gear oil fluid from advance auto, it works for for the vlsd.

redline gear oil, oem reccomended weight which is 75w90, tho some ppl use 80w140

i believe 80w140 is thicker. ive read that our 5 speeds feels smoother with thicker oil to absorb shock and what not. not sure about the diff tho. ill give it a try next time i change the diff fluid.

Yea, that's sounds like the better choice of the two. Does the weight have any significant impact if any on the way it locks?

Because it is made to very high standards. Royal purple makes jsut about every fluid for a car. Their oils have been tested to help gas mileage (probably only like 1mpg or so) and help reduce friction and drag in the motor (probably about another 1 hp). They are more expensive than other fluids, but its well worth the investment.
