sounds like sincro, had it gradually gotten worse? I would say check the tranny and make sure you got full fluid and are not leaking any, perhaps take it out and inspect the clutch...maybe the throwout bearing is shot..

I had the same issue with my clutch pedal and replaced the clutch and flywheel and the problem went away. the grinding sounds like another issue since mine never did that, check the master and slave cylinders as well; there may not be enough pressure to make the clutch work properly.

The other week my clutch pedal, when pushed down, would do that where it would only come up a little and I'd have to pull it up the rest of the way. If I'd tap the pedal quickly it would come up, if I held the pedal down for a few seconds it would stick. My problem was a shot clutch master cylinder.

Defenetly the fluid in the line, or something with the clutch. b/c if you get it into gear, and once it comes out, it grinds again, the clutch is not disengaging. So thats prolly it. Lift it, put it into gear and wihtou lettign the clutch go down, see if the tires move, if the ydo, its not disengaging right.

Sounds like what people where discribeing with the clutch dampning system in. I would overhaul the out side first. Remove the dampning system first, then work backwards. Slave, Master.
