Question will a 97 automatic tranny hold up to a nsport turbo kit

nsport claims 240hp at the wheels , will my stock 97 auto tranny hold handle this much hp?

well... it all depends on how much boost your gonna run. It will hold up probably up to 10lbs without too much of a problem. I have an auto too, I've researched the same thing. Before you make a decision on what kit to get, look at the F-max kit. From what I've hear its the best kit out there.
I'm pretty sure the tranny will hold that much, they're only runnin the turbo at 6lbs.

that can't be good for the tranny...automatics arent made to do that...

put it in D and go....you should do a tranny swap before you turbo....its alot more fun to drive a stick...car feels faster then too..

a friend of mine put a nsport kit on his 95(auto) with about 106k miles, and he was runnin 9lbs just fine, he tried 10 and blew the motor, but the tranny still works! but umm, before you turbo an auto, or any car for that matter, get a leakdown and compression test performed, if the results are good, you should be fine...

...if you know how to shift right, a stick is faster (to an extent)
