It's not a big deal man, everyone's inclined to go off on the new guy, especially me in most cases.

As a note everyone, I'm picking up my 240 tommorow

LS swap is like better in every way, its lighter, more powerful, more potential, more cylinders, more displacement, good aftermarket, writeups, kits, not to mention legal (pretty damn sure). Less is not more in this case guys, MORE is more

Do you have a link to one of these "wonder" swaps? I know what a LS# is and I've heard of it done before, but I've never read a write-up.

A link? In fact I'll give you an entire forum, there are a good amount of 240 ls threads in the hybrid section not to mention the entire forum is all about LSx motors. You could even google "240sx ls1" and get a TON of results along with a TON of rx7 swap results. There is a grip of information out there man, you just have to look. It's kinda like looking for hay in a hay stack

I'm pretty sure the hinson swaps are the only legal swaps in california. There licensed to perform the work and you won't have problems with a ref. These swaps through them are DOT approved.

Distributor of the hinson super cars in California, this is Lukes shop. http://www.sdp-online.com/swaps.php
It still cost $10,000 for the swap.

IIRC its just the block that is lighter, a full ls1 would be heavier than a full ka i'd imagine. but then again, i might be wrong.

edit: whats all this hate on vqs? there sexy as hell. haha

Im positive that the entire LS package is lighter than the KA package. The total weight of the car drops when the swap is done.

VQs are nice. Theyre sexy. But no engine on earth can compare to the aftermarket support and potential per dollar than the LS engines.

Cast iron is also more indestructible than aluminum. Aluminum blocks can warp with the transfer of heat. Cast iron only tempers and becomes stronger to high temperatures.
