I read this a couple days ago, but I can't find it anywhere...

Is there a 6 speed tranny that will bolt up to the SR20DET without any mods? I thought I read where you could buy basically the drivetrain off an S15 and get an SR20DET, the 6 speed, driveshaft, and LSD rear end. Is this correct, and if so, where could this be found? I've looked on numerous sites that sell clips and motors but haven't seen a 6 speed tranny.

 

the s15 6-speed trannys r rather rare...and i heard there not as durable and cant hold up to the abuse like the 5-speed trannys

 

6 speed can go to 350-400hp i believe but in drifting and hard shifting can cause the unit to fail.

Nismo sells a kit that replaces the gears with stronger units, its like 1200.

 

the s15 6-speed cant fit on any other type of sr engine, its a different (pull/push) clutch

 

shouldnt this be in the transmission forums?
