air fuel guage for S13 red-top??

I'm looking to install an air fuel guage on my SR, but i read on other forums that a standard air/ fuel guage will not work on the SR for some reason, and that others were having problems as well getting there's to work. does anyone know of an air/fuel guage that does work on the SR and where i can find one?? its a S13 red-top.

never heard of problems with installing that, just hook it up right...

a/f gauges are weird, just to monitor and kinda tune and make light i guess... for tuning though, you'd be better off buying a wideband o2 and safc. Dont safc's have a a/f "guage" shown.

Is this Aaron?

I dont think that he is aaron, but he prolly knows him because Abilene aint that big haha.

Anyways, a a/f gauge is a waste of money unless you like a light show. get a good wideband and never look back.

i'm not to worried about tunning. i got a apexi power fc w/ commander for all that. i still would like to have an idea of my ratio though. i used my friends autometer that he's letting me use off his old car so its not like i'm really wasting any money at all. i hooked it all up, got power to it. it lights up when i start the car but doesn't show anything while its running? your supposed to tap into the white wire comming from the o2 sensor right??

ps. no this aint aaron. but i do have his old SR20 in my car. u know the one that he had in his blue S13. anyway, yeah he's done a lot of work on my car.

yeah i have the same set up he had still minus cams, intake, manifold, and had to get a new head swapped on there cuz i blew the original one. bottom ends still fully built though. plus i was having problems with his chipped ecu he had on there so i went with the power fc and had it tuned. its not as fast as he had it running. but its slowly getting there

cool... the ecu problem is weird, he tuned all that stuff himself, same with my car and ogee's car... having the cams, mani and intake would get it there again... he had an oil cooler and other little **** like that too

ok, so anyway, back to the original topic of discussion.... i wired the violet wire into the ecu pin 19 (white wire) and found a good power source and ground. now the green light stays on rich which would indicate its getting power, but it stays like this all the time, even after i've driven it around for about 10 min. and let it warm up. i checked the signal connection and its good. the o2 wire(white) is reading a good 5.10v which means its getting proper signal from the sensor.... anyone have a clue whats wrong???
