Another Speed Sensor Question. Please Read!
ok. so i finally have a speedometer that works...but heres the catch, it reads only in kilometers and it has that speed cut at 115mph/kph. so when im driving and i get to 115 on the speedometer which approx. 50-55 mph the car shuts down.
So, heres my question. now that i have it all hooked up and have to take it apart again, how do i or what do i need to buy to make it read normal????????? do i need to get a speed sensor from a manual trans s13-s14 usdm? no one seems to know and i cant stand not knowing how fast im going other than rpm's Please help me out here. Thanks, Jay |
Find the wire that feeds the speed signal to the ECU..I believe its yellow/green. CUT IT.

thanks for the help Jay |
i used my speed sensor off my '90 ka24e manual transmission. i know that a s13 dohc (ka24de) speed sensor will work, but im nearly positive it has to be from a manual transmission. get one from a junkyard for like 5 bucks they will not know what it is
