I'm getting one soon. A converted CA18DE, fully rebuilt, with ARP bolts and a metal headgasket. It will rock. I've driven a CA equiped car before. I couldn't stay away after that. LOL

ca's came in 180sx's, fit right in just like the SR, almost identical process. I'm looking into the CA myself, good peppy little engine, and high redline. Has it's ups. I've seen a few sites sell them, but not much cheaper than the SR.

Anubis, what did you want to know about the CA?

the redline is about 7500 i believe.. but then with some cams, lifters etc.. you can easily take them to about 9rpms... i'm not too sure how much hp you can expect out of them, but i'm pretty sure it's a lot because the CA can handle a lot of boost with it's iron block and forged internals...

NICO forums? i have know clue where that is.

i bought my motor from NAD Auto here in atlanta, ga. it was the front clip actually. it was cool because it had a fmic on it and strut tower bar.

they gave me the whole rear assembly too with the diff. and the springs and struts even though there was only three of them.

wiring is basically like the sr. have to extend O2 sensor wires, igniter wires, and maf wires. you have to make the extension harness from the ecu to the dash. and just make shure the wires match up for the fuel pump relay and others on those connectors, as well as the signals for the cluster.

but yeah i wasnt going to buy anything i could witness them starting up. before i bought it they started it up for me.
