Ca18det swap

If I got the Ca18det and the 5 speed transmission with it, would that bolt in just fine and match up everything. Or would I have to take my 1989 5 speed transmission and hook it up to the Ca18det and then put it in?? Is there anything else that I would have to watch out for when I make the Ca18det swap. Thanks for the advice

if you get a full motorset or clip then you should be good to go with the swap, basic swap that should go in with very few, if any, problems

Have played around with a few ca18dets. First of all use the jdm ca18det transmission. if the transmission messed up u can use a s13 ka24e or ka24de transmission but you must swap the bell housing from the ca18 transmission 2 the ka24 transmission.
2# replace the turbo inlet gasket when the motor out or the car and use lock tight on the turbo manifold bolts. ask every one with a ca18det swap 80% of the turbo inlet gaskets that came with the motor blowout. The biggest thing to replace is the timing belt it no fun when a timing belt snaps damages the inside of the motor.
