CA is cheaper..and has just about the same potential, but you will have to put a lil more work into it.

CA is a little harder to find parts, but a lot of parts can be found from various other Nissan models.
CA's power band according to my friend who got a ride in a CA powered 240, said it was more like an explosion of power at a particular RPM, whereas the SR is silky smooth.
CA has been tuned to rev up to 9K.

The CA is a tough motor and a very good option. Its stout, with an iron block and alumminum head to the SR's all alumminum setup.

Well the parts that I was describing(and not in detail as I'm not up on CA parts) were simple things. Like the flywheel from a KA works with the CA. Basic maintenance items really, nothing performance that comes to mind. The best info I could give you Shri would be to check out the NICO boards. There is a guy named Paul, he goes by the name movingviolation240. He has the CA and always had good answers to ppl's questions. He would be your best help.

the CA 18 is a great motor, it can be bored/stroked to 2l with the cast iron block and its ability to rev it can make tons of power... CA stuff is harder to come by but cheaper than sr stuff

paul switched to an SR a few months ago and slapped a GT25R onto the car. He's pushing close to 400rwhp right now with it

but paul (movingviolation240), NeedCAforSpeed, and countless others at NICO are real gurus when it comes to knowledge about CA's. Unfortunately, a lot of them have managed to ruin a motor or two.
