Question Chevy V-6

Ok I know I'm about to be flamed about , but I'm considering putting a 4.3 litre Vortec V-6 in my 240. Does anyone know what would have to be done for this ? I mean what all would I have to change ? Tranny ? Rear Axle ? Drive shaft ? Ect ect . I know a lot of people are against cross breeding import and domestic , but thanks to everyone who replies .

The Ls1 is the v-8 that came in camaro SS's and regular corvette's. The ls2 just came out, and it is the same weight, but alot more hp from the get go.
The other option is an ls6, this is the engine that came originally in the corvette z06 model, and it is almost as powerful as the ls2. so- ls1 & 6 are of a /slightly/ older generation, ls2 & 7 are the newest generations.
I've seen lt1 swaps done to a 240 in houston, but it is heavier, and nowhere near as powerful as the ls series motors.
you might want to consider visiting the ls1tech.com fourms. it's all about stuffing a chevy v-8 into anything with wheels. You're not gonna get bashing from me about your motor swap, lord knows i get enough for wanting to put an ls6 in my baby.
Catharsis can probably answer more of your questions than i can though.

Well I originally wanted to drop the LS1 in my 240 , but I'm worried about the torque destroying the chassis/frame . Any ideas ?

well, first don't post the SAME set of questions on 2 different fourms. try asking different questions, you might learn more :P
as they said in the other fourms, a wielded cage will do alot for you, and re-enforcing the subframe will help too.
