Cluster Gauge Swap

I need to replace the cluster gauge pac in my 89 240sx with a 91-94 cluster gauge pac. This is required for the swap of my s14 sr20det into the 89 240sx. I was told I need to do this because the tach I currently have in th 89 will not work with the s14. Looking at www.car-part.com I see that some used car parts dealers sell 91-94 tachs only. Has anyone ever swapped out a 91-94 tach into an 89 gauge cluster pac?

I will have someone build the wiring harness.

Thank You,

Dane

The SOHC cluster doesn't work with any other engine, so it has to be changed. You can use the whole cluster from the DOHC if you get the speed sensor from the tranny too. The SR cluster will also work if you run across one but it will be in KM.

if you are set on using your cluster(say you have a heads up speedo model), the tach will swap in to your cluster. Customer did it with his SR swap no problems.
