cold compression test?

cold compression test?

ok,so how is it possible to check compression on a motor that is not in a car?
i was told that one way is to hook up jumper cables pos to starter,and neg to bellhousing bolt,ground?

Put the compression tester on the cylinder you want, and then manually crank.

Yea, worked for me, had 140-150 across the board for me.
