Deal with it!

I am about a week away from purchasing a '97 240SX. The downside to this is that the car has an automatic tranny(*shudders*).
Right now I am trying to decide what kind of powerplant I want to go with....currently I am thinking doing a 5spd swap(is there a 6spd available?) and keeping the KA24DE engine and see about modding the 4 banger it to the *****.
The second choice is because if I have to pay $500-$800 to buy and install a 5spd tranny I might as well spend the extra money and buy the complete engine/tranny RB25DET and that way I don't have to worry about figuring ways to mod the KA24DE to get some power.
Are there any other options I should be looking at? If I do just go with an immediate 5spd swap where can I buy the parts for it?
Thank you for your help and friendly advice.

lol, of couse you could always take a H22, and extend the driveshaft, mount it sideways, and in general be frucked for every-single detail you'd have to go over.

Please don't actually do that, but there are V8 240's, and some other crazy stuff out there.

Also yeah I would definetly rock a motor swap if your thinking of replacing the tranny. There is a great verifed vendor on this site that sells everything you need to get up and running with a new engine.
