Ok so this passed weekend took my car to the chicago emmission test and failed. Gave me a notice for 4 weeks to get the car fixed. My brother who also has a SR20 swap passed perfectly fine last summer at same place. We both have 95 240's with Redtop SR20det swapped in with a catback system. Its simple and nothing insane. He passed.....i didnt. I cant seem to find the problem. Engine seems real clean too. PLEASE HELP!!!!

first off my brother passed emmision here in chicago. Cali smog and Chicago is quite different i know for a fact.
Second, what did you do when u failed your emmision?? Hw do you still have your SR20 if you failed smog test??

I didn't pass my emission, I payed some guy to pass it for me.

I got rid of the SR20..

 

Yes I was going to suggest that too but didn't know if the admins would like that or not.

 

put some alchohol in your engine i forgot what kind (dont put some jack d in there though) but u also need to say what u didnt pass like CO what part of the sniffer didnt u pass. And make sure you cat is working and warm it up before u get there it will run better
