Question fuel pressure reg question

This is stupid, but I just want to make sure I didnt screw up. I did a rb25det swap, and it just hasnt run quite right yet, and I'm making sure it isnt this. OK, I will describe the system. you have the chassis hard line from the tank, and that goes to the rubber hose which goes to the filter, which goes to the hard line to the fuel rail at the rear of the motor. then at the front end of the rail, you have the fpr(?)which exits and goes to the return hard line. Directly next to the fpr(?), there is a bracket with 2 holes in it. it looks like something goes there. I'll get back to that. now comes the part in question. I have a part between the hard line from the engine and the hard line on the chassis. it looks like the fpr(?) at the end of the fuel rail, but without a vaccum hose. the lines go on at a 90 deg angle, and it has a bracket which looks like it bolts to the bracket nex to the fpr(?) at the end of the fuel rail. it has 2 rubber bushings on it. I know its hard to follow, but that part is what I thought was the fpr. I just cant remember if that was off the KA, or what. If I'm all jacked up, someone let me know, and if anyone knows what the hell I'm talking about please share the knowladge. I'm so dumb...

sorry, but its hard to go off of your statement there. from what i read do you think by any chance that could be an added inline filter. maybe some pics if you can. just guessing though.

I looked in the fsm a little harder, and it looks to be the "Fuel Dumper". what is that and what does it do?
