hey guys, i'm new to this forum but yeah, I'm getting a s13 240sx and i'm planning on doing a motor swap along with that. What motor do you suggest? I'm thinking s14 sr20det (220hp) or a rb20det... i'm just looking for the motor that can handle the most boost without having to reinforce (due to no money) haha.. but yeah, i'm taking suggestions on motors right now, I've read alot of different comments and such, i'm probally just going to start off with a car, a motor, a boost controller, turbo timmer, and exhaust... does anyone know exactly what a sr20det front clip comes with? and where would be a good place to buy one? I'm kinda iffy about buying it off ebay... Also, the project is going to be DIY partially, I have help from mechanics tho... I'm new to the nissan world, I used to have a 98 integra gsr... lol... do the front clips come with an intercooler? bov?

 

Oh yeah! is a sr20det s14 a 6 speed? cuz i know the s15 sr20's are... and is the rb20det? or the rb25det? hp on the rb20 and 25?

 

does the rb25set fit right into a s13 240sx or a s14 240sx?

 

whoa whoa whoa, slow down First off, please post in the right section, moved to engine swaps.

Second, ALL your questions could have been answered by searching. These questions are asked a million times, please search. I will answer a few though....I think the RB20 will be the best bet for you. Since you say ur tight on money, RB20 is cheap and has lots of potential. The only engine that you can fit in a 240 with minimal modifications and has a 6 speed, is the S15 SR. And even the S15 SR is a b1tch and a half to swap! from what i noe the sentra se-r, r34, and s15 are the only nissan that are six speed
