Gonna Start To Remove My Engine

Yep. Dont exactly know what I am doing but i have some help from someone who has swped engines in a mustang. So does anyone have any suggestions

Suggestion: Google and search button.

Been done a million times, and plenty of write ups.

no i just mean like minor thngs like where to start or things to look out for

i would start by unclipping the wiring harness and labeling everything as you go. they have these number stickers that i found at a electrical shop that help organize everything & make it way easier when your installing everything. other than that dont b in a rush & start hacking stuff up to remove it & you should b good

or just take the entire harness off and leave everything plugged in. but first you'll need to drain and purge all fuel, oil, and coolant lines and resaviors.

how do i drain the feul?

JapanS15 Oct 29, 2009 04:48 PM

disconnect the lines and let it drain into a bucket that won't disolve from the gas.

S13 KA24DE Engine Removal https://www.s-chassis.com/forums/how-tos-installations-48/s13-ka24de-engine-removal-42397/ Take it slow.

I would definitely label everything as far as the harness goes. Don't rush...that only leads to mistakes or forgotten connections. Research first, then start the removal.

dont forget to disconnect power steering lines. I can pull a KA out in an hour because I have done it so many times. its cake.

lol ditto ^ I can't do it in an hour, I'm more of the hour and a half to two lol

Yea your speed sensor on the trans and the drive shaft dust collar are keepers. Look up positron's KA pull on here the guy did a great write up, I pretty much followed his when i pulled mine.
