Got my SR dynoed

got my car dynoed at Slammin 'N Jammin car show.

I ran stock boost, 7lbs, or .5 bar on my boost controller

I was expecting about 170-180whp...anyways...I layed down 203whp!!!

As far as performance mods here is the list(short):

Engine:
JDM S13 Redtop SR20det-Professionally installed and tuned by Heavy Throttle of NY
Heavy Throttle Hotpipe
Greddy Pulley set
Greddy Type S bov
Greddy Profec A Boost controller
Greddy Turbo Timer
Greddy 3" Downpipe
Test Pipe
Apex'i N1 Dual catback exhaust
Permacool 14" electric fan with adjustable thermostat
Spec Stage 3 6 puck clutch

EVERYTHING ELSESTOCK including
ecu
intercooler
original fuel pump
injectors
turbo, t25
stock MAF
internals
intake manifold

a Mustang Dynamometer was used instead of a Dynojet, so accuracy is assured

I'm very pleased since I was expecting way lower...lol

here is the sheet

Thats sweet. Nice choice of mods-all those parts, especially the DP, pulleys, and hotpipe/exhaust really help. Now how about 10 PSI?

i really think the electric fan helped alot, i had it running full blast while i was on the dyno.

they had only one fan, and it was facing my rear end for fwd cars, so pretty much i had no airflow coming from the front besides the electric fan pulling air into the radiator

The awnser you seek for the high numbers was in the DYNO they used. Mustang dyno's read higher than most & are the least accurate.
I never trust a resistance dyno. They are somewhat accurate but can be off as much as 20%

its all about opinion, some people swear by Dynojets, some by mustang dynos

the good thing about mustang dyno is that it puts in road-like conditoins and such

I'm impressed by your head-lights more than the numbers, but good job with the dyno.

everytime I see some use a mustang dyno the go to a dyno jet they make more hp. Mustangs read lower than dyno jets.

good run man, with the general rule of thumb of 15%~20% loss due to the tranny, you're close to 230-240 at the flywheel......and my opinions on dyno accuracy are that they are useful as a tool to give you a reference point.....given you go back to the same dyno.........also, who the hell knows when the last time the thing was calibrated......these are all general statements as far as accuracy goes.....bolt on more parts and tune the car.....if you get more power then it can't be questioned b/c you have a reference.

Mustang dyno's read lower because they load the rollers like the car would be loaded on the street, where the dynojet has a set load which is about 25% less than the mustang. The good part about the mustang dyno is that you can load the rollers more than the dynojet which is better for tuning for streetability.

It varies from place to place, Motorsports Dynamics in Sacramento CA charges about 200 or so per dyno session I believe... Call up any real all out tuner shop in ur area and find out who does it and they'll let u kno their prices.
