harness question

I now have my KA out and am in the process of cleaning the engine bay, however i cant install the SR over the long weekend because i dont have my oil pan yet (shiit)
But i was wondering if it was ok to install the SR harness leading to the ECU and just having it hanging over the side, while i put back together my interior?

will this process have a conflict on those wires i have to lengthen and shorten?
or should i re-do the harness according to (import racer) then install it?

what do you guys think?

That will be fine. The wires that need to be lengthed are ones like the MAF sensor and others. They are all part of the engine harness that will hang off the side. Once it's plugged into the ECU in the car, you don't need to touch anything else inside.
